When design­ing the inte­ri­or of the Mark and Paula Hurd Wel­come Cen­ter at Bay­lor Uni­ver­si­ty, Pop­u­lous want­ed to invoke illu­mi­na­tion, cre­at­ing light inte­ri­ors that wel­comed every­one from prospec­tive stu­dents to home­com­ing alum­ni. They relied on Scuff­mas­ter paint to keep these spaces bright. Walls and play­ful diag­o­nal columns that framed high-traf­fic areas such as study spaces and an audi­to­ri­um were paint­ed white to mag­ni­fy the light in the build­ing. Scuff­mas­ter, with its indus­try-lead­ing dura­bil­i­ty and high scrub rat­ing, is ide­al for this high-traf­fic space, ensur­ing that it stands ready to wel­come gen­er­a­tions of stu­dents to come.
