Poudre District Middle-High School fosters a vibrant learning community through shared indoor-outdoor spaces and state-of-the-art facilities. The Building’s Concept Statement is “Connected to Nature”, which is evident with the one-acre secure outdoor “Learning Park” serving as the central focal point for the school. It was important to honor a more natural material palette allowing the changing Colorado seasons to aid in giving its own “color” to the building interiors. Taking budget, installation, maintenance, and durability into consideration pointed the designers toward RAMPART flexible wall protection. According to Shannon Sudemeier, Director of Design, “RAMPART® Grain was the perfect alternative, offering the warmth of wood with a much easier installation and great durability, especially for serpentine wall surfaces.”
