Since 1993, Wolf-Gordon has donated over $2 million to the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) through our Gift of Hope program. When a customer specifies using their unique GOH number, a percentage of the product’s gross sales is allocated to the Foundation, which funds direct care and preventative education for people living with HIV/AIDS, and for those at risk.
As a result, Wolf-Gordon has become DIFFA’s largest donor and, by far, the largest contributor in the design industry. Participation in Gift of Hope requires no financial contribution from our customers. Every sample request corresponds to a special Gift of Hope (GOH) number, and once an order is placed and invoiced, Wolf-Gordon donates a percentage of the sale to DIFFA.
DIFFA was founded in 1984, and is the oldest and one of the largest foundations that continues to work steadfastly in raising funds for HIV/AIDS. For more than 20 years, DIFFA has brought together celebrated individuals from the worlds of fashion, interior design, art, and architecture to create spectacular dining installations for its Dining by Design fundraising event.
For several years, Wolf-Gordon collaborated with designers Ali Tayar and Alejandro Cabrera to design provocative table environments that play with perspective. In 2013, an abstracted interpretation of “The Last Supper” featured digital prints produced by our WG Customs Lab that covered the wall, table, and floor. That same year, our CEO, Rick Wolf, was honored with DIFFA’s ‘Unsung Hero Award.’
