St. John’s Terminal Google Office

When Google sought to deepen its investment in New York City, it found a sustainable path forward within the city’s rich history in St. John’s Terminal. First opened in 1934 as the southern terminus for the West Side Rail Line — since repurposed as High Line Park — the building has been adaptively reimagined by Gensler as a 12-story modern office building with reuse and sustainability at the heart of its design. Wolf-Gordon’s Felted acoustical wallcovering embodies this ethos. Made of 100% post-consumer recycled content and digitally printed with a custom design, it enables acoustical comfort and collaboration in the building’s conference rooms. In addition, custom-printed window film allowed the designers to repurpose pre-existing glazing.
