A con­tem­po­rary take on ​“aquarelle”, which means water­col­or in French, the Aquatint pat­tern is an explo­ration of soft, sus­pend­ed motion, evok­ing images cap­tured using slow shut­ter speeds or the shad­ow play cre­at­ed by light reflect­ing off gen­tle rip­ples on water’s sur­face. With col­or­ways inspired by nat­ur­al pig­ments, CLAIR Aquatint blurs organ­ic ener­gy, result­ing in a potent still­ness that imbues a sense of qui­et vibran­cy into its surroundings.

Made with pro­pri­etary EVO tech­nol­o­gy, CLAIR Aquatint is a com­mer­cial wall­cov­er­ing that beau­ti­ful­ly unites sus­tain­abil­i­ty, dura­bil­i­ty, supe­ri­or print­ing and emboss­ing, and brings the well­ness ben­e­fits of bio­philic design into spaces with rig­or­ous tech­ni­cal demands. CLAIR wall­cov­er­ings are bleach clean­able with a 1:10 dilution.

At 20 oz per lin­ear yard and paired with an Osnaburg back­ing, this heavy-duty Type II olefin com­pos­ite wall­cov­er­ing has high abra­sion and impact resis­tance. CLAIR is pro­duced from 20% pre-con­sumer recy­cled con­tent, and is ASTM E84 Class A Fire Rat­ed, Cal 01350 Com­pli­ant, made in the USA, and has a Health Prod­uct Dec­la­ra­tion (HPD).

Aquatint joins the ini­tial CLAIR col­lec­tion of 10 tex­tile- and organ­ic-inspired designs that are derived from the beau­ty of nature.
