Wolf-Gordon Introduces GATHER™ Acoustical Materials

| New York, NY — June 13, 2022 | Intro­duc­ing a dra­mat­i­cal­ly enhanced prod­uct cat­e­go­ry for Wolf-Gor­don, GATH­ER™ Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als adds an inge­nious set of acoustic solu­tions to the Company’s port­fo­lio. As the dynam­ics and goals of open spaces in com­mer­cial inte­ri­ors evolve post-pan­dem­ic, GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als inject beau­ti­ful, col­or-sat­u­rat­ed pat­tern design while help­ing to reduce noise, whether in work­place, edu­ca­tion, hos­pi­tal­i­ty or health­care interiors. 

For­mat­ted in a pan­el con­struc­tion, GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als is offered as a kit of parts for design­ers to cus­tomize. Twelve col­or­ways in 4’ x 9’ pan­els that are ¼” thick can be used alone or cut and com­bined in col­or block com­po­si­tions. GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als can also be dig­i­tal­ly print­ed, V‑groove engraved, laser cut and fold­ed into over twen­ty dif­fer­ent high per­form­ing dimen­sion­al pat­terns. GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als can also be lay­ered to reveal con­trast­ing col­or while enhanc­ing NRC ratings.

In its many iter­a­tions, GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als may be applied direct­ly or lay­ered and then applied to walls. It can also con­tribute to spa­tial divi­sion, either sus­pend­ed or applied to grav­i­ty-bound sub­strates. GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als can wrap a room or cre­ate cozy nooks by miter­ing the edges. 

GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als is con­struct­ed from a PET for­mu­la­tion in 100% recy­cled poly­ester (60% post-con­sumer and 40% pre-con­sumer) and has NRC val­ues rang­ing from 0.25 to 0.75 (depend­ing on the num­ber of lay­ers, mount­ing method and dimen­sion­al options). It is formalde­hyde- and Red List-free and, as part of its Clean Air/​Clean Air Gold cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, has extreme­ly low lev­els of volatile organ­ic com­pounds. GATH­ER Acousti­cal Mate­ri­als also meets the Glob­al Recy­cling Stan­dard and ful­fills the Oeko-Tex Stan­dard 100 require­ment (“Con­fi­dence in tex­tiles — Test­ed for harm­ful sub­stances”). It is Class A rat­ed for ASTM E84, both adhered and unad­hered fire tests, and has a light­fast­ness val­ue of 4.5 @ 40 hrs.
