Sirona
This inherently antimicrobial upholstery textile, exclusive to Wolf-Gordon, was developed in collaboration with Geo. Sheard Fabrics and Coats Group. Unlike other antimicrobial fabrics that contain harmful topical chemical treatments, Sirona is woven with REPREVE® post-consumer recycled polyester and Protect+. This technology embeds natural copper and silver salts into virgin polyester to permanently inhibit the growth of microbes—including staph, E. coli, and klebsiella—in or on the fabric, and reduce the odor caused by bacteria.
Sirona has a soft, nubby bouclé texture and offers superb draping, and it meets all ACT standards. Protect+ will not wear off or wash away, making the textile safe for human health and the environment. The piece-dyed fabric will stand up to bleach-, peroxide-, and disinfectant-based cleaners.
