© Aliki van der Kruijs | Inspired by architect Ettore Sottsass Jr.’s photographs of grids juxtaposed with natural landscapes, Aliki van der Kruijs developed this larger-scale pattern by taking rectangular sections of the grid off-axis and superposing them to the base grid. The result has a slight moiré effect that speaks to her openness to serendipity. Woven with chenille yarns, the rotating rectangles permit one to feel the shift of the grid as well as see it.
This upholstery textile can be cleaned with a 1:4 bleach to water dilution.
