Flora is part of the "Out of the Archive" collection. This wallcovering is digitally printed and available for scale and substrate customization. Cheerful floral patterns seen in vintage wallpapers of the 1940s give a glimpse into what had been popular in home décor of the period. With the continuing influence the residential market has on various commercial interiors—and how biophilic design has proven that an experience of nature can elicit a restorative response—it was natural to include a floral pattern in our Out of the Archive collection.
Drawn to the multi-layered effect and hand-painted look of the wallpaper sample that Flora was based on, much of the original pattern was retained. However, the scale was enlarged to furnish a more contemporary edge.
