© Kari Kristensen | Canadian printmaker Kari Kristensen explores her nostalgia associated with a scenic lake located in Alberta, Canada, in this homage to her grandmother’s favorite place. Expressed in stark black & white linework, the artwork was created as a linoleum print, a medium she embraces for its monochrome aesthetic. Kristensen’s interest in different areas of Canadian and international art history has helped her recognize the relevance of artisanal processes and meticulousness in a modern context.
